Family Campers and RVers (Formerly National Camping & Hiking Association (NCHA): Members are offered a 10% discount on the base rate of campsites. A current membership card must be presented to the appropriate park personnel at the time camping fees are collected. (Program reviewed for renewal on an annual basis.)

Senior Citizens Discount Program: The base rate on campsites is discounted: 50% for all Oklahoma residents 62 years of age and older and for out-of state visitors 62 years of age and older from the following reciprocal states: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, Tennessee, and West Virginia. Identification showing birthdate must be provided. The senior citizen discount may not be used in conjunction with any other discount.

Totally Disabled Persons Program: The base rate on campsites is discounted 50% for all campers who are 100% disabled, and their immediate family members (living in household). Acceptablet~ bona fide documentation noting 100% permanent disability includes: 1) medicare card; 2) Veteran's hunting/fishing license; 3) award letter of disability from a retirement insurance board, commission or administrator; 4) letter from physician verifying disability.

Good Sam Clubs: Members are offered a 10% discount on the base rate for campsites at the following state parks: Arrowhead, Beavers Bend, Boiling Springs, Ft. Cobb, Foss, Fountainhead, Great Plains, Great Salt Plains, Greenleaf, Hochatown, Keystone, Lake Murray, Little River, Osage Hills, Quartz Mtn., Red Rock Canyon, Robbers Cave, Roman Nose, Sequoyah, Tenkiller, Texoma, WahSha-She, Walnut Creek, and Wister. (Good Sam agreement reviewed for renewal annually.)

 
Camping Facilities
 
  • Modern RV Campsites: Electrical, sewage, water hookups
  • Semi-Modern RV Campsites: Electrical hookup at each site; water is available nearby
  • Unimproved Campsites: Table and grill are available at some sites. At least one water source is available in all campgrounds
  • A Defined Tentsite: Some sites have a table and grill. Some tentsites may have a paved pad. A water source is located nearby
  • Primitive Areas: These camping areas are generally a significant distance from the main park area. You must obtain a permit for camping in primitive areas. These areas are usually not accessible to vehicle traffic, and have no utilities, sanitation facilities or development
 
Campsite Fees
 
  • Fees are payable daily or in advance and shall not be prorated.
  • RV sites may be rented for tent camping at the established total daily rate of the site.
  • One tent may be pitched as an extension of a recreational vehicle on an RV site.
  • All campers must be in a designated campground area. Camping is not authorized outside the boundaries of these areas, except by permit.
  • Occupants shall vacate the campsite by moving their personal property prior to 5:00 p.m. There is a 14-day limit of stay. A request for an extension may be submitted to the Park Manager.
  • Some parks will accept reservations for single campsites. Some parks will accept reservations far small and/or large groups only. Please contact the individual parks for their campsite reservation.

Group Reservations
 
  • Small Groups:
    Reservations for RV campsites may be accepted up to a year in advance, when there will be 5 or more sites occupied by the group for 2 or more consecutive nights or 3 consecutive nights on holiday weekends.
    Large Groups:
    Reservations, up to a year in advance, will be accepted outside designated campgrounds with an approved permit from the park manager for groups of 20 or more recreational vehicle units for 2 or more consecutive nights or 3 consecutive nights on holiday weekends - only where park facilities can accommodate the size of the group.
  • To make a reservation contact the park 75 days in advance of the arrival date. Consecutive site allocation for groups is not guaranteed.
  • Reservations shall be made by one person representing the entire group. The group representative shall provide the park with the arrival and departure dates, the number of recreational vehicles and the number: of members eligible for a discount. It is not necessary for each member to make their own reservations.
  • Two methods of advance deposits are available for groups:
    • A Security Bond Deposit of $200.00 will allow groups to make unlimited reservations for a year. The deposit shall be submitted to the Camping Coordinator, Oklahoma State Parks, 15 N. Robinson, Suite 200, Oklahoma City, OK 73102 (telephone: 580/521-3411). The Department shall hold the deposit which shall serve as a security bond.
    • Non-Security Bond Deposits shall be made to the park by the group representative 60 days in advar~ce of arrival date or the reservation may be cancelled.
  • Upon arrival at the reserved/assigned campground, the group representative or designee shall provide full payment for the camping period and verification of senior citizen and totally disabled discounts for the entire group.
  • Notice of cancellation for the entire group must be received by mail or telephone from the group representative 10 days in advance of the arrival date for small groups and 30 days in advance for large groups - or the deposit will be deducted from the security bond deposit or forfeited for the non-security bond deposits.
  • A use permit requiring liability insurance may be required for large groups, contingent upon activities conducted by the group.
 
Camping Rates And Programs
 
  • Use of a metal detector must be authorized by permit from the park manager.
  • Please do not litter.
  • Quiet hours are 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m
  • All pets must be caged or on a leash not to exceed 10 feet.
  • Park in designated areas only.
  • Check with the park manager before collecting firewood.
  • Don't remove or disturb plants and animals or natural features in the park.
  • Please discharge gray water and sewage in disposal facilities.
  • Glass containers are prohibited in swimming.
 
4th Night Free Camping
 

Three Oklahoma State Parks Offer a 4th Night Free Camping Program

Check into a campsite at Arrowhead, Fountainhead, or Raymond Gary State Parks on a Sunday or Monday. Stay three nights and the fourth night is free. Payment of fees for the entire camping period must be paid in full upon check-in. Regular rates apply the first three nights. Restrictions may apply on holidays, May not be used in conjunction with any other discount program.
