Fishing was hit or miss a couple weeks ago but has really picked up the past week. Water temps are in the mid 60s and the Shad are starting to spawn. We've been live bait fishing with Threadfins and doing really well in deeper water. A lot of the fish have gone to spawn but there are still tons of good fish left in the lake to catch. We are seeing some top water action start up this week but so far, it has been brief. I'm seeing more and more bigger fish being caught. The guide that works out of the slip next to mine, pulled an 18 pound fish on Friday and I pulled a 17 pounder the next day. Catfishing is starting to pick up also. I've pulled a 41 and 38 pound Blue this week on live bait. Spawn looks good, the lake is in great shape and the fish are healthy and aggressive. Come get some!!
